This modular apartment building offers 56 LEED Silver certified dwelling units. 

Chelsea Place is a new 56 unit rental apartment community located just outside of Boston, for which ZED facilitated LEED for Homes certification. The building is a mix of affordable and market rate units.

Federal Realty Investment Trust was the project financier and Oaktree Development managed the development process. Working together with Thornton Tomasetti as the LEED for Homes Provider and Sustainable Energy Analytics as the Energy Rater, ZED completed LEED for Homes Green Rater services.

Building Attributes. The multi-family 56 unit building features modular construction, individual unit heating & cooling systems, individual heat recovery ventilators, a shared solar electric system, low flow plumbing fixtures throughout the building, a green roof area, and a location convenient to shopping and transportation.

Certification.  The building is LEED Silver certified by the US Green Building Council.
